The Sherwood is arguably one of the most elegant and stylish gate designs on the market. Blending classical, traditional, and robust gate design, with this fabulous and intricately detailed central feature tree.

The feature tree that is incorporated into each gate leaf shows the a decorative tree design, including songbirds.

These swing gates feature ‘Ball Finial Post Caps’, plus ‘Spear Tip Finials’ along the uppermost horizontal structural beam.  We have also included decorative scroll work within the gate frame and an ornate central ‘Feature Plate’ to complete this truly stunning design.

Suitable for both manual, or automated operation.  Accordingly the gates are not supplied with locks, latches, or floor bolts.  Should a customer wish to add locks, latches or floor bolts following purchase, these can be purchased from a wide range of ironmongery suppliers.

The gates come as a pair, each gate leaf being of equal width and they are available in a range of sizes.

Beautiful finish

These gates are constructed using box steel that has been electro-galvanised to add a layer of zinc to the steel to prevent rust. The gates are fully welded and once manufactured, they are then powder coated, to deliver a robust, rich black coloured finish.

All of our gates are best suited to forming a new entrance and are ideally pared with our elegant gate posts.

Smooth installation

Should you choose to automate your gates, there are a number of automation systems to choose from. Please do feel free to contact us, or ask your installer to contact us for further gate specifications prior to placing an order if that would be helpful.

The gates come with 15mm ‘pin hinges’ already attached.

When purchased with a set of our Gate Pillars, the gates can be installed quickly and easily, with minimum fuss and at a fraction of the typical cost of a gate installation.

We do always recommend that a qualified electrician is engaged when installing an electric gate system, or undertaking any works to your household electrics.

Easy maintenance

Due to the electro-galvanising and powder coat finish, the gates require minimal to no maintenance for years to come (see our maintenance section).

As with all metal products, should the paint become cracked or damaged over time and rust starts to show, the rusted area should be lightly sanded back to bare metal and the gate should be painted with a suitable exterior metal paint, such as Hammerite.

What's included?

These gates offer outstanding value for money and are suitable for both manual operation, or for automation. Accordingly, the gates are not supplied with locks, latches or floor bolts.

Should you choose to operate these gates manually, there is a wide variety of latches, locks and ground bolts available on the market to choose from.
